Expected Conduct Agreement

Each family that is a member of RECESS Home School Group understands that our families are representatives of our Lord Jesus Christ, our home school group and the general homeschooling community. We agree to conduct ourselves in a responsible manner when participating in all group activities to include personal, group and online interactions. This also pertains to all references of our members or the RECESS Group in general, in other home school forums.
Proper conduct includes (but is not limited to),

•    following instructions
•    respecting all authority
•    careful treatment of properties used or visited
•    clean modest dressing and personal hygiene
•    polite behavior amongst children and adults
•    any disputes between children will be settled between the families in a loving, Christian manner
•    any unauthorized use of the roster member information (i.e. names, addresses, phone #’s, e-mails) for anything other than personal contact information for the group is strictly prohibited
•    no sharing of RECESS roster, newsletter or activity information with non-RECESS members
•    if you are asked to RSVP, please keep your commitment unless it’s absolutely necessary to skip the function
•    No rough-housing or foul language

We understand that failure to comply may result in being asked to refrain from future participation in the group as a whole.

Matthew 5:14-16 NLT
“You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

Adopted by the RECESS Home School Group in September 2006
